Can we turn into opportunity what otherwise would be a shameful tragedy? Interesting question, and as every interesting one, it has an undetermined number of possible answers. We pose this interrogation because, that is precisely what happens to the so called, migratory issue. Since ever, human kind has moved from one part of the planet to another, most of the times looking for a better life. Climate change, economic challenges, health issues, etc. It is not the purpose of this brief document to embark ourselves in a dissertation about immigration and its causes and consequences.
It is nevertheless, our intention to call your attention to the vast amount of opportunities arising from it.
We have explored several avenues in order to see the premise expressed above converted into reality. For instance, we created the business model that helped the Home Developing and Realty industries from Latin America to establish the foundation, and mechanisms to motivate immigrants to invest their money in their countries of origin via the purchase of a property.
Our contribution to the opening and consolidation of this market is largely recognized by every single player in the Real estate industry.
However, the fact of the matter, is that we got involved in such activity, mainly because our previous engagement with the immigrant communities through the academic interaction. It means, that back in the year 2000, our organization had the opportunity to design and implement the first attempt to have a Distance Learning facility, using online platforms, with live tutorial support, in the history of New York City.
Since then, technology and awareness have grown exponentially. Almost every single college or university around the globe has or is planning to have amongst their portfolio, an Online Distance Learning department.
Many educational institutions around the world now compete for what is considered one of the most fast growing markets: Online Degrees. While it is true that traditionally, American, Asian and European have had the best to offer and consequently attract students from other latitudes to their programs, it is also true, that in the case of the immigrant community, there is a high level of a so called sense of belonging to their native countries. Moreover, many individuals, dream of having one day the chance of somehow, get back to the old land and, obtain a professional degree there.
They work hard for their money, they do not have the time, more often, do not even are skillful enough in the English language, do not qualify for any financial aid, and their schedules make it almost impossible to have access to any kind of education provided in the States. On the other hand, for a fraction of the price they would pay for tuition, they can get state of the art education, from people who speak their language, know their culture and have the ability and the tools to get them to obtain a degree from a well known, accredited institution. Now, that, they can afford!
It is matter of putting together, supply and demand. Making a methodical, practical, business oriented approach and this huge market will open its doors widely. There are tens of thousands wishing, craving, and begging for an affordable, feasible and comprehensive way to get an education. We are going to open that portal. We are going to help you get this market to work, with you, and for you.
Every year we will be conducting EduExhibitUSA in every major city of the United States where immigrants have significant communities. As European and American Universities are doing, we will be having an annual event, where Supply will meet the demand and interact, and recruit new students, face to face.
And you are more than welcome to attend it!
